Getting Started

1. Click the MANAGE ACCOUNTS button then click NEW.

2. Enter the information provided to you by your web hosting company.

Web Site
Use the address you would normally use to visit your web site with a browser.

FTP Host
This is usually similar to your normal web site address. Usually the only difference is that "www" is replaced with "ftp". Sometimes FTP Host is known as "FTP Server" or "FTP Site".

User Name and Password
These should be self evident.

3. Click the TEST SETTINGS button.

As Wimpy FTP will run through a series of tests in order to determine if the information provided is correct.

If you're already familiar with FTP programs, you can click the small "EXPERT" button in the upper-right-hand corner and set the web root folder manually. Then click "OK".

4. Connect

After setting up an account, it will be listed in the Account Manager drop down.

Click the CONNECT button

5. Drag and Drop

Uploading files is as simple as dragging and dropping files from your local system into the Wimpy FTP window.
